As mentioned earlier, our lodging will vary from wooden cabins in Fairy Meadows to hotels in Lahore and guesthouses in the North.
Each property has been vetted and regularly hosts travelers on this route.
Please make sure to arrive on the start date of the tour. If you need to arrive a day earlier or later, that is no issue, and we will accommodate you in our accommodation partners. There may be a small surcharge for this additional accommodation. When booking flights, keep an eye on the usual flight aggregator websites and set up flight alerts to make sure you get the best value.
A visa is required for entry into Pakistan, and it is your responsibility to apply for it in advance and cover any associated costs.
Visa requirements vary by nationality. Travelers from many countries (including the U.S.) will need a Letter of Invitation, which we will provide.
While we will spend some time on the bus, this is NOT a typical sightseeing tour where we simply hop on and off transportation. We will be physically active, with plenty of walking and outdoor activities.
Our itinerary includes exciting adventures, such as trekking and hiking, which are the best ways to experience Pakistan’s breathtaking mountains.
Some hikes are easy, while others involve steep climbs and require moderate endurance. You don’t need to be an expert hiker, but a reasonable level of fitness is required. We encourage you to prepare by incorporating some hiking or cardio workouts before the trip. If you have previous injuries or mobility concerns, please assess whether you can comfortably participate in the activities before booking. That said, our guides are experienced in accommodating different fitness levels. For example, on the Nanga Parbat trek, there are rest points for those who may not complete the full hike. However, being in decent shape beforehand will enhance your experience.
Tip: Don’t forget to bring well-worn hiking boots!
Throughout the tour, we will rely on Wi-Fi for connectivity. While the internet at our Lahore hotel will be relatively good, Wi-Fi in northern guesthouses and homestays may be slow or unreliable. Additionally, there will be no internet access on travel days.
Please be prepared for limited connectivity and embrace the chance to unplug and fully enjoy the experience.
The most common health issue travelers face is digestive discomfort, including mild diarrhea.
To minimize risk, we recommend drinking only bottled water. We will dine at trusted restaurants that have been used by past tours, but food sensitivity varies from person to person. If you do fall ill, we can provide over-the-counter medication to ease symptoms.
This tour is in partnership with Ready for Road Adventures, who provide a fantastic team of guides that follow a strict code of conduct. Our guide will accompany us throughout the journey to ensure we have the best experience possible.
All payments, including deposits and final installments, are non-refundable.
If you need to cancel, please notify me as soon as possible. I will do my best to find someone to take your place. If I am able to resell your spot, I will refund your payments made so far. However, the sooner you cancel, the better the chances of finding a replacement.
For details on refunds in the event of a tour-wide cancellation, please refer to the Terms & Conditions section.
To reserve your spot, click the ‘Sign Up Now’ button and complete the form.
Once submitted, I will email you with payment instructions. Payments must be made via bank transfer in U.S. Dollar (USD).
Your place is only confirmed once the $700 deposit has been received.
Please do not book your flights until you receive a confirmation email from me.
1. If you need to cancel after making your deposit or final payment, please be aware that, in line with industry standards, all payments—including both the deposit and final balance—are non-refundable once paid
That said, I want to assist as much as possible, so I will make every effort to resell your spot. If I successfully find someone to take your place, I will refund the amount you have paid, excluding the deposit. Keep in mind that the earlier you cancel, the better the chances of reselling your spot, whereas last-minute cancellations make it more difficult.
2. Securing travel insurance before the tour is mandatory. I recommend purchasing it as soon as your deposit is made. Prior to the trip, I will request your insurance details so that, in case of an emergency, I can contact your provider and have access to your policy information.
3. Neither I (Dude Abroad) nor the Ready for Road Adventures team can be held responsible for any incidents, accidents, or losses that occur before, during, or after the tour. You are responsible for your own safety, and should anything happen, you will need to claim through your travel insurance.
4. In the event of a cancellation due to COVID-19, a natural disaster, or any other unforeseen circumstance that forces us to call off the tour, payments made will not be refundable, as local suppliers and accommodations will still need to be compensated. However, I will do my best to reimburse you for any remaining funds after covering necessary costs, though this cannot be guaranteed.
If a full cancellation is necessary, both I (Dude Abroad) and Ready for Road Adventures will work to reschedule the trip and transfer deposits where possible, but this is not assured.
To protect yourself from potential losses, I strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance immediately after paying your deposit. Since travel insurance is a requirement for this tour, securing coverage early ensures you are protected against unexpected cancellations. Waiting until just before departure to buy insurance may leave you without coverage if something happens in the meantime.
